There are endless creative solutions for approaching small spaces. But what if you had the room to do it all (and then some)? Top Manhattan residential interior designer Brad Ford talks about embarking on the ultimate design opportunity at One Hundred Barclay, a new Art Deco condominium tower in Tribeca, whose penthouse duplex boasts the city’s single largest living room: 3,168 square feet of raw, nearly limitless potential. To design the space, Ford called on dealers from across eBay Collective, including Maison Gerard, Todd Merrill, and Bernd Goeckler. Here, he shows how taking a scaled-back, innovative approach—with such strategies as lighting tricks, seating vignettes, well-placed art, and an emphasis on Hudson River views—resulted in a living area with both dramatic impact and functional intimacy.
